Motor Grader Operator
R.E. Beckner Construction Inc. is seeking an experienced Motor Grader Operator to join our team! The right candidate will be comfortable performing finish grading and working alongside supervisors and other operators.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Fine grade horizontal surfaces, shoulders and slopes per plan.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of grades and blueprint drawings
- Perform daily equipment maintenance and safety inspections
- Understand work directions and communicate effectively with job site supervisors and fellow employees.
- Adhere to all R.E. Beckner Construction Policies
- Apply knowledge of heavy equipment practices, procedures, techniques, and safety standards
- Responsible for completing and submitting all required documents in a timely manner including but not limited to timesheets, daily project log sheets, and equipment condition.
Qualifications:
- Must have at least 5 years of motor grader operator experience (Required)
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Must have experience with earthwork including: building pads, sub grade, curb pads, sidewalks, and base work.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Working knowledge of Base, grades and granular related materials
- Working knowledge of methods, techniques and equipment required for Base and Sub-Base surfaces
Work locations: Offices based out of Pinellas and Citrus Counties with jobs located throughout the central west Florida region.
